Rebecca (Young) Blinston, age 82, of LaValle passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Rebecca was born on December 9, 1944 at Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Walter and Doris (Perkins) Young.

Becky retired from School District of Reedsburg in 2009. She was a long time member of the LaValle Public Library Board and served as president for many years. She was a member of LaValle Advent Christian Church where she held offices of Treasurer, Chairman of the church board, head of the Sunshine Committee and taught Sunday School. Becky enjoyed volunteering at the church and library, spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and helping others when needed.

She is survived by her daughter, Mishelle Blinston; grandchildren, Jodi (Josh) Behn, Jackie (Greg) Wilkinson, Jacob (Katie) Meyer; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Duane Young and Jack (Connie) Young, sister Rita Young Gulsrud; uncles Bruce Perkins and Fritz Perkins, nephews, nieces and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Blinston, her parents Walter and Doris Young; daughters Rebecca Renae and Emmy Jo; sister Bonnie Clift; grandparents Ray and Charlotte Young, and Floyd and Agnes Perkins, along with many aunts and uncles.

The family wishes to thank the private health care workers and neighbor Matt Mick.

Funeral services for Rebecca will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Advent Christian Church in LaValle with Pastor Andy Johnson officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be made in Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaValle.
