Richard A. Yauchler Obituary

Richard A. Yauchler, age 82, of Wisconsin Dells, WI, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He was born on December 14, 1943 in Schenectady, New York, the son of Olin and Estelle (Shaffer) Yauchler.


Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1967 during the Vietnam Era. He was married to the former Shirley Stevens.


Hobbies and interests included carpentry, puzzles, reading, playing chess and watching movies. Most of all Richard loved driving around on" big blue" his favorite tractor. He was a Master Electrician mainly with his own business and his expertise was in trouble shooting issues.


Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Olin and Estelle Yauchler; his brothers Douglas Yauchler, James Yauchler; and sister Janet. Denovio.


He is survived by his wife, Shirley; Richard's children, Brent Yauchler, Kirk (Biva) Yauchler, Dana Gray, Kari (Jeff) Barker, and Kyan Yauchler; and his step children Charles (Mary) Novy, Cathy (Jim) Jones, and Teresa (Greg) Zander. Other survivors are 11 grandchildren and 9 step grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Carol Hallenbeck, Gene (Judy) Yauchler, Lillian Barnett, Bea Estelle, and Ray (Kae) Yauchler.


A memorial service followed by military honors for Richard Yauchler will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be made in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, rural Richland County.
