Richard "Dick" Skinner of Reedsburg, age 92, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Sauk County Health Care Center.
He was born at the Skinner farm in Winfield Township on February 13, 1933, to parents Earl and Dorothy “Toots” (Zobel) Skinner. He was the second of three children, older brother Bill (deceased) and younger sister Joynelle. Dick was a graduate of Reedsburg High School class of 1951 and served in the Navy on the USS Reclaimer in the Pacific. He is most remembered as a darn good truck driver and co-owner at Skinner Transfer Corp.
Dick lived his entire life in Reedsburg. Over the years, he was a charter member of the Jaycees, the commissioner of Pony League baseball, an avid bowler, lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, liked traveling and enjoyed family and friend time at their Lake Redstone place.
He married Audrey Alexander of Baraboo in 1957. They had three sons; Mark (Martha), Scott (deceased) and Jason (Janelle). Also were blessed with five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
No funeral services are scheduled.
Interment will be at a future date in the Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life open house at Reedsburg Country Club on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Come as you are.
