Robert “Al” Harrison, 76, of Valton, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at his residence.

Al was born October 2, 1947, in Westford Township to the late Frank and Carol (Owen) Harrison. On October 11, 1969, he married his loving wife, Jean Decot.

 Al farmed most of his life in the LaValle area. He loved hunting with his friends and family. Al also enjoyed playing cards with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elenore and Janet; brothers, Clarence, Pat, Billy; brother-in-law Cecil; sister-in-law Helen.

In addition to his wife Jean, Al is survived by his children; Sally (Andy) Caulfield, Jody (Krissy) Harrison, Dan (Lisa) Harrison, Amy (Jason) Schultz; grandchildren Jake and Ryan Caulfield, Elizabeth Harrison, Kate and Reid Harrison, Logan and Cassie Schultz; brother Francis; sister Shirley.

Funeral services are scheduled on his birthday, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle.  Deacon Tom Fogerty will be the Celebrant. There will be no visitation prior to the service, the family asks that those attending to please come into church and be seated.  Burial will take place at a later date at St. Bridget's Cemetery. Following the service, please join the family in celebrating Al's life from 12:30-3:00 PM at Club Chapparal, S320 Hwy. 33, Wonewoc.

Due to no visitation, the family strongly prefers, in lieu of flowers, that memorials be donated to the family in his name for donations of their choice.

The family extends a very special thank you to Courtney, Derik, and Leslie of Agrace Hospice for the loving care they provided Al.
