Robert Allen “Scott” Carpenter, age 78, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away at home on Sunday, October 23, 2022. He was born on February 29, 1944 in Summit Township, Waukesha County WI. He served in the U.S. Army. Scott retired from the Operating Engineer Local 139 union where he worked in road construction. Scott was united in marriage to his loving wife, Jean Steinhorst on July 14th, 2018.
Scott loved spending time with family and friends. He was able to enjoy the years of his retirement doing just that. From Packer Parties to Badger Games, Scott was there to cheer on his favorite teams with his favorite people. He was a lover of holidays, hunting, fishing, and everything Wisconsin. He loved vacationing with his wife and family in Jamaica, blessed to have enjoyed it on last time in March of this year. Scott was very social and enjoyed many of the local restaurants and taverns over the years where he will be greatly missed. His door was always open for a cup of coffee or a cold beer. His love, conversation and friendship will be missed by many.
Scott will be missed by his children, Nikki Carpenter and BJ (Teema) Carpenter; grandchildren, Tailyr and Ryder Carpenter, and Tatyanna Bronk, sister, Joan Carpenter Knowlton, his loving Wife, Jean and many family members including Jeff (Tammy) Steinhorst, Tom (Jeannie) Steinhorst, Jim Steinhorst and Betty Hooker, Jerry (Nancy) Rufenacht, William (Jessica) Schanke, Rob (Dawn) Schanke and Becky (Steve) Newkirk.
He is preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Makenzee Carpenter and a brother, Larry Carpenter.

Funeral services for Scott will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Mike Amberg officiating. Military rites will be held at the funeral home following the service. Visitation will also be on Friday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
