Rodney G. Good

Rodney G. Good, age 68, of LaValle, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born on December 15, 1952 in Reedsburg, the son of Russell V. and Wilma M. (Selden) Good. Rodney was a 1971 graduate of Webb High School. He served his country after being drafted in Korea with the U.S. Army. For 40 years, Rod was employed with Steamfitters Local Unions 392 and 601. He was a member of LaValle American Legion Post  #242. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, food, and grilling, always loved a good steak. Rod enjoyed watching football, especially the Packers. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Rod was preceded in death by his father, Russell; son, Chad in 1975; and his sister, Marilyn.

He is survived by his mother, Wilma Bailey of Reedsburg; children, Tamra (Dale) Hauser of Oconomowoc, Jessica (Chris) Good of Reedsburg, and Alicia (Thomas) Good of Wisconsin Dells; grandchildren Kenzie Ann, Dalton, Ayden and Sophia; brother, William “Bill” (Marsha) Good of Ironton; sister, Barb (Marv) Bennett of Finley; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Rodney will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 29 from 4:00-7:00 P.M., and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be made in Pine Eden Cemetery in Wonewoc.
