Ronald K. Steinhorst, age 88, of Portage, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on January 6, 1936 in North Freedom, WI, the son of Walter and Elsie (Willey) Steinhorst. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jerome, and his parents.

Ronald is survived by his son, Gregory; his grandchildren, Joshua, Nicole, Nathan and Brennan; his sister, Marlene Enstad; along with other relatives and friends.

There will be a private family visitation. Burial with military rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom with Chaplain Mike Amberg officiating.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family.
