Ryan Patrick Lavely

Ryan Patrick Lavely, age 39, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023, surrounded by family and an outpour of love. He was born on April 28, 1983 in Chicago, IL and the oldest of four children. His family finds strength in knowing Ryan knew the Lord through family and St. John’s Lutheran Church Youth Group in Reedsburg.

He will always be remembered as a friendly and caring person who had a gentle smile and beautiful blue eyes. Family and friends were very important to Ryan. He was a role-model, mentor, and a good listener with a shoulder to lean on. Ryan enjoyed spending his time with loved ones, having long chats on the phone, sports, biking, adventuring the outdoors, and traveling. A place dearest to his heart was Thailand, where he experienced some of his happiest moments with his sweetheart, Ladda. Ryan was so excited to marry and start their life together. 

Ryan was dedicated to his career as a scientist at ThermoFisher Scientific Biotech Company in Fitchburg, WI. He always spoke highly of his work and enjoyed the closeness amongst his colleagues. 

Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Bob and Sandy Lavely, his siblings, Alex Lavely, Rebecca Lavely, Luke Lavely (Brooke Michel, fiancé), his fiancé, Ladda Lanla, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Victor and Virginia Safran, Yvonne Fitzgerald, and Robert J. Lavely, uncle, Don Boydston, cousins, Christopher Boydston and David Ferguson.

He will be greatly missed, but forever remembered by those around him, especially by his family and close friends. 

Funeral services for Ryan will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Beth Voigt officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service.
