Ryan A. Templin, age 45, of Sun Prairie, shuffled loose his mortal coil on Monday, June 19, 2023.  He was born on June 7, 1978, in Richland Center, WI, the son of Timothy and Joyce (Bauer) Templin. After graduating from Webb High School in 1997, he took several classes at Madison Area Technical College with an interest in the field of accounting. Ryan worked at several different jobs over the years however most recently was employed as a Lab Technician Aide at Deibel Laboratories for the past 10 years and was happy to be considered an essential worker during the pandemic.

In the mid 2000’s, Ryan found a passion for all things poker. He excelled in competitive online poker which earned him a spot on the 2010 USA Poker Team and a trip to the Bahamas to play with the likes of professional poker player Vanessa Rousso. His gut feeling on big hands and big bets helped Team USA place fifth overall. He enjoyed trips to Miller Park/American Family Field to watch the Brewers, was a Bucks fan, and a lifelong professional wresting fan/aficionado. He had a quick wit, a great sense of humor, enjoyed cooking, movies, live concerts, music, and had an appreciation for all things history related. His lifelong affliction with asthma pushed him toward reading comics, and books of all kinds which ultimately caused him to amass quite the collection over the years.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Patricia Templin; maternal grandfather, Leonard Bauer; uncles, Ben and Tom Templin, and Phil and Mike Bauer.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Tim and Joyce Templin of Reedsburg; brother, Brad (Chelsea) Templin of Sun Prairie; grandmother, Erma Bauer; God parents, Ken and Elaine Nockerts of Reedsburg; several aunts, uncles, along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 beginning at 4:30 PM followed by a celebration of Ryan’s life at 6:30 PM with Chaplain Dan Farber officiating. Private family burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle on July 1, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please keep the family in your thoughts.
