In the early morning of Thursday, May 23, 2024, Sarah Renee (Steffen) Searfoss passed away at the age of 46 at her home in rural Reedsburg, WI. Sarah was born to parents Earl and Mary (Griffith) Steffen in Baraboo, WI on April 10, 1978.

Those of us who knew Sarah were truly blessed. She had that special kind of magic that is hard to describe in words. The kind of person who carried the excitement of a child on Christmas Day

throughout the year. Christmas had always been Sarah’s favorite holiday. The excitement and anticipation of gift giving and receiving overwhelmed her. There wasn’t a year that went by that she was able to keep the present that she had bought for others a surprise.

Family meant the world to Sarah. Family was everything. Her passion for being a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend was a badge she wore with honor. Her door was always open, ear ready to listen and a Diet Pepsi, hot cup of coffee, or something waiting for you in her pink kitchen decked out with a little bling.

A lover of music, she had a beautiful voice and passion for country music. She was a dreamer, a stargazer, an artist, a lover of nature and always up for an adventure. She had a way with animals and a special place in her heart for horses and dogs.

She shared her light with everyone. Her laughter, radiant smile and shining eyes were a true reflection of her beautiful spirit. In light and love, until we meet again.

Sarah is survived by her three children; son, Devin Wenger, daughters, Victoria Oller and Elizabeth Wall; mother, Mary (Mitch) Schmieder; stepmother, Ruth Steffen; brother, Gregory (Tracy) Steffen; stepsister, Leslie Wrigley. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, including her best friend, Jessica Greenslet; Grandpa Ray and her cherished dog, Sophie.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Steffen; grandparents, Albert and Alta Steffen, and Edwin Griffith and Caroline Griffith Siberz.

A service to celebrate Sarah’s life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Farber Funeral

Home in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at 11:00 A.M. with the service starting at

2:00 P.M.

Sarah and her family.
