Sharon L. Smithson

Sharon L. Smithson, age 69, of Lime Ridge, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Sauk County Health Care Center after a 36 year battle with MS. She was born on August 29, 1954 at the Richland Hospital, the daughter of Sylvester “Beck” and Celia (Losic) Klang. She was united in marriage to Roger Smithson Jr. on January 30, 1987. She enjoyed rolling dice, playing cards and anything sweet. She was famously known for always having candy around. Her favorite times were spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marty Klang; and fur kid, Friday.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Roger; children, Tracey (Darrel) Ehrenberger, and Todd (Amanda) Woodruff; grandchildren Evan Woodruff, Robert Ehrenberger, Alexander Woodruff and Lillian Woodruff; brother, Richard (Debbie) Klang; sister, Sandy (Mike) Klang; and many nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials of remembrance may be made to the Sauk County Health Care Center and/or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Sharon will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Lime Ridge with Reverend Kumud Nayak as Celebrant. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Cazenovia Chapel, and on Friday from 10:00 am  until the time of the service at the church.
