Sheryl Lea (Miller) Brethorst, age 75, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. The daughter of Howard and Carmen (Nofsinger) Miller, Sherry was born on January 27, 1950, at the hospital in Hillsboro, WI. She attended school in Elroy, graduating from Royall High School.

In August of 1974, she married David Brethorst of Lodi, where they resided for 42 years.

Sherry is survived by her husband, David; children, Tanner (Solare O’Brien) Brethorst of Portage, Jenalyn (Jarrod) Kennedy of New Glarus; grandchildren: Rodrick Ramsden, Phoebe and Conrad Brethorst; sisters: Jennifer Miller (Bruce McPhee) of Chicago, IL, and Lynette (Tom) Reisenauer of Mauston. She is also survived by nieces, Kelly Hillard-Lopez, and Kerry Hillard-Leary; great niece Norah Leary; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Therese Brethorst, Richard and Lori Fowler, and Don Hillard; along with other relatives and friends.

A private family celebration of life for Sherry will be held at a later date.

The Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, is assisting the family.
