Shirley A. Tourdot, age 89, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 4, 1936, in Westford Township, Richland County, WI, the daughter of Frank and Carol (Owen) Harrison. Shirley graduated from Cazenovia High School in 1954.

On July 10, 1954, Shirley was united in marriage to Bernard R. Tourdot in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Germantown. Their marriage was blessed with six children, 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Shirley devoted the first 25 years of her adult life to working on the family farm in rural Reedsburg while raising her growing family.  She later worked as a retail clerk at various businesses in Reedsburg over the years.

She enjoyed decorating cakes in her younger years and was especially known for her delicious pies and great cooking. Shirley and Bernie loved playing cards—often many times a week—and rarely missed a Saturday night of dancing together.  She was an avid Brewers and Packers fan and enjoyed traveling to Arizona among other places. She also had a passion for cross-stitching, creating blankets and wall hangings that she gifted her grandchildren and great grandchildren throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; great granddaughter, Paige Ruddy; brothers, Clarence, Pat, Billy and Allen; sisters, Eleanor and Janet; sister-in-law, Helen, and brother-in-law Cecil.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 71 years, Bernie; children: William “Bill” (Cindy) Tourdot, Linda (Jeff) Pearcy, Steven Tourdot (Manuel), Janet (Pat) Ruddy, Patrick Tourdot, Karen (Randy) Reynolds; grandchildren: Eric (Emily) Tourdot, Marc (April) Tourdot, Jason (Michele) Pearcy, Jeni Krayer, Shawn (Sarah) Ruddy, Chad (Brea) Ruddy, Shana (Mike) Muntinga, Courtney (Jay) Knox, Tori (Zach) Abel, Trevor Tourdot, Cody (Mandy) Reynolds, Kyle (Erica) Reynolds; 26 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, Francis Harrison; brother-in-law, John Astle; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Harrison and Patty Fischer; several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley A. Tourdot will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic in Reedsburg with Father Paul Ugo Arinze officiating.  Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until 11:45 am at the church.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Voyageur Inn.
