Stuart, Abel, age 64, of Reedsburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Stu was born on September 29, 1959 in Chicago, IL, to Dr. Stuart and Mary Jo (Sisney) Abel. He attended high school at OPRF where he began his love for baseball and became a great pitcher.

 He worked in the hospitality industry for 30 years in Oak Park, IL, before moving to Reedsburg and starting his guest services job at the Wilderness Hotel and Golf Resort. Stu loved sports, classic cars, singing, and spending time with his family. He was an amazing grandpa to three wonderful grandkids he loved so very much. He has touched the hearts of so many in his life and will truly be missed.

Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Stuart and Mary Jo Abel, and his sister, Linda Broccolo.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn Abel of Reedsburg; son, Christopher Abel; and daughter, Brittany Abel; grandchildren, Tyler Reilly, Dillan Kowalke Jr., and Daisy Kowalke; and brothers, Mark (Judy) Abel, and Gordon Abel.

A Celebration of Life for Stuart will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Wilderness Resort Convention Center, 45 Hillman Road, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965.
