Terence Malcolm Royce

Terence Malcolm Royce, age 84, of New Lisbon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in New Lisbon. He was born on April 1, 1939, in Broadhead, WI, the son of Elmer and Mabel (Burrows) Royce. He was born and raised on a farm in rural Beloit.

Terry graduated from Orfordville High School. Following high school, he served in the Fire Department before proudly serving his country in the US Air Force from May of 1962 through December of 1970. He served during the Vietnam War as a firefighter in Fire and Rescue. After being honorably discharged, Terry lived in Riverside, CA, and raised a family of three daughters and one son. The Royce family moved to Littleton, CO, and then to Texas before moving to Hanover Park, IL. There, Terry was a very active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, serving in various positions.

Terry was employed as a Claims Manager in the Insurance Industry during his entire career, retiring in 2006. In 2018, Terry moved to Hillsboro, WI. He loved to exercise at his local gym and spend time outdoors fishing. He also loved American Western history, bowling and the Denver Broncos. Terry’s greatest pleasure came from spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling to visit and creating new memories with them. He was recently a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Reedsburg.

Terry is survived by his children, Tiffany Zehra, Renata (Joshua) Schuch, Tammy (Jeremy) Gates, Michael (Amy) Royce; grandchildren, Kyle, Jacob, Jordan, R.J., Madeline, Lydia, Gabriel, Elijah, Malynn, Samuel, Timothy and Joseph; great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jude, Ivan, Oliver, Winifred and Hudson; brother, Gordon Royce; sister, Merilynn (Toby) Wagner; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Terence M. Royce will be conducted on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Steven Neyhart officiating. Military Honors will be accorded at the church following the service.
