Thomas Carl James, 49, of Richland Center, WI died comfortably at Meriter Hospital, Madison, with his siblings at his side on July 15, 2021. Tom, better known as Tommy, Tiny, Tanker, Kirby, and many other names, was born on January 5, 1972, in Reedsburg, WI. He was the youngest of four children born to Robert and Ilene (Knudtson) James. For many years Tom has had multiple health issues which he continued to mask with his humor and his ability to make others laugh and smile.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeylah Marie James; siblings Brian (Wade) James, of Fitchburg, WI; Steve (Barb) James, and Karen (John) Mortimer, all of Reedsburg, WI; nieces, Lindsey Marie James and Cassie Mortimer; his nephew, Dustin James; special friend, Kerry Pillow and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-nephew, Dylan.
The family would like to thank the staff at Meriter Hospital for making this difficult time a bit easier, especially Heidi, Linda, and Amy, and Richland County Health Department.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Brewster’s Lanes in Reedsburg from 12 noon until 5:00 PM.
