Thomas G. Seamonson, age 84, of Reedsburg, WI, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born on May 25, 1941 in Wauwatosa, WI, the son of Sanford E. and Dorothy M. (Milbrook) Seamonson. On April 24, 1965 he was united in marriage to Anna J. Parsneau in LaCrosse. This marriage was blessed with two daughters.

He was a 1959 graduate of Webb High School in Reedsburg. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Reedsburg  American Legion Post #350. Tom worked at American Motors in Milwaukee, was part owner of Tom and John’s Citgo, worked as a driver at Foremost Farms, and drove bus for the Reedsburg School District and for VARC. He was a Union Steward for Teamsters Local 695. Tom also served as an Alderman for the City of Reedsburg and served on the City Council.  He was a member of Rotary and the Reedsburg United Methodist Church.

Tom was an avid runner.  He enjoyed running with his wife and close friends.  Over the years, Tom completed countless marathons, both locally and across the country, including two Boston Marathon finishes.  He also conquered an impressive 50-mile race.  When he wasn’t running, Tom enjoyed fishing in the Minocqua area and traveling.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Dorothy Seamonson.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; daughters, Sheryl (Richard) Kinsman, and Susan (Scott) Lindloff; grandchildren: Derrick (Kristen) Kinsman, Amanda (Thomas) Allen, Emily Kinsman (Henry Felerski), and Samantha (Jacob) Williams, Sarah Lindloff (Jared Swadley); great-grandchildren: Elllie, Cayde, Cora and Gwen; many nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service for Tom will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the United Methodist Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Liz Alexander officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the church. Military honors will follow the service at the church. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials of remembrance may be made to the United Methodist Church or the Reedsburg Area Food Pantry.
