Timothy L. Brandt Obituary

Timothy Lawrence Brandt, Beloved Husband, and Father. The kindness, hardworking, mentor, and role model- the best husband, father, brother, son, friend anyone could have asked for.

Timothy Lawrence Brandt age 49, of La Valle sadly fought his last battle on October 28th, 2024 in his home after a courageous fight with cancer.

Timothy Lawrence Brandt (Tim aka Bones) was born on December 13, 1974, to Lawrence Benjamin Brandt and Joan Marie Brandt in Reedsburg. Tim grew up in Reedsburg where he attended Reedsburg Area High School playing football and basketball while working summers for his father at Service Electric. After graduating high school in 1993, he earned a degree in Packaging at the University of Wisconsin Stout. During college, he developed even more friendships and a skill in throwing darts. After college graduation, he came back to Reedsburg to work at Service Electric and complete his Journeyman and then Masters in Electrical.

Tim worked for his father at Service Electric of Reedsburg until he eventually became a partner in the business. After his father’s death in 2011, he took over the business and worked there until his final days. Tim's pride in Service Electric and all those who work there was unbelievable; the men who work for Service were like his second family.

In 2003, Tim met Melissa Brandt and were married at Sacred Heart Church in December of 2004. They quickly added to their family with four beautiful children, Dawson Kenneth Brandt, Katria Marie Brandt, Drew Lawrence Brandt, and Victoria Lynn Brandt. His family was the only thing he loved over anything else; he never put anything above them. Every moment with his kids from the second they were born to watching them grow into the wonderful people they are today was a true visual of love. He was such a remarkable father and husband. He was able to find the true importance in life and that is love.

Tim built his family their forever home on the Brandt family farm in 2006 with his bare hands along with family and a devoted friend. He loved living on the farm with his family and creating endless memories from building a football field in the front yard and playing with the kids and their friends over the years to hiking in the woods looking for deer sheds, and mushrooms, and spending time in nature. Everything he built on the farm was for his family and himself to enjoy together. Hunting the farm has become a great tradition with family and friends over the years and one that has created memories for his children that they will cherish forever.

Tim was predeceased in death by his father Lawrence Brandt. Tim left behind his wife Melissa Brandt. His children, Dawson Kenneth Brandt, Katria Marie Brandt (Danny Pickel), Drew Lawrence Brandt, and Victoria Lynn Brandt. His mother Joan Brandt. His mother and father-in-law Kenneth and Donna Bradley. His sisters and brothers-in-law Laurie (Scott) Ross, Teresa (Dave) Midthun, Julie (Daniel) Gorecki, Nicole (Tom) Schaefer, and Ryan Bradley. 12 nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

We will remember Tim with love at his Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Reedsburg, on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 10:45 am. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 pm at the Farber Funeral Home, and again on Monday from 9:45 am until 10:45 am at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Ironton. We hope to see all his family and friends who can attend the services to help remember Tim and what an amazing man he was. In the end, Tim’s last advice was to not worry about the small stuff. Tim made our world big and our problems small. When he took his last breath, we forgot to breathe for a moment. The impact that he had on his family and so many others will be greatly missed but could never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pancreas Cancer Fund UW Carbone Cancer Center, an organization Tim felt strongly about because of the care he received from Dr. Kratz, and his amazing team of nurses.
