Virginia Mae Williams, age 95, of Reedsburg, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020, at the Sauk County Health Care Center. She was born on November 16, 1924, the daughter of Frank B. and Ada Grace (Selden) Tyler. She was a 1942 graduate of Reedsburg High School. Virginia was employed from 1971 to 1990 by the State of Wisconsin as a Clerk for the Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations. She volunteered in the Madison School District and was a volunteer Grandma at the Central Wisconsin Center. Virginia was a kind and loving person who had a special relationship with young people. Family was very important to her and cherished the time spent together. She had a lifelong love of music and enjoyed dancing in her younger years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Arlin Williams; sister, Ruth Westerman; and five brothers, Francis, Harold, Elmer, Evan and Joe Tyler.
Virginia is survived by her children, Barbara (Richard) Fish of LaValle, Marilyn Fleischer of Middleton and Jane (Korlin) Wunderlin of Madison;
14 Grandchildren; 22 Great-grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ellen Tyler of MI.
A memorial service for Virginia Williams will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Activities Department of the Sauk County Health Care Center.
