William “Roger” Huffman Sr., 77, of Tomah, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Roger was born June 16, 1941 in Madison to the late Fred James and Silvia M. (Cox) Huffman. After he graduated from High School he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He retired after 23 years of service. On July 15, 2006, he married Edna Malinao, at that time he started living half the year in the Philippines.
Following his retirement from the Army, he owned and operated a body shop in Columbus Georgia. Followed by driving semi-truck for many years.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish in LaValle.
He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, camping, gardening, swimming in the ocean with his dogs and traveling.
In addition to his wife Edna, he is survived by his son William “Bill” Huffman Jr. of Tomah,
Granddaughter Barbara Ann Huffman,
Brothers and sisters; Dennis, Darlene, Betty, Marlene and Maxine,
Mother in law Nanay Cornelia,
Brother and Sister in laws; Benben, Loloy, Bebe, Lalang, and Neneth
And many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Larry, Jackie, James, David and Dale, his sister Frieda, and father in law Santos Damian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Roger Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 11:30 am, at Holy family Catholic Church. The Reverend Sanctus Ibe, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Visitation will also be on Thursday, at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service.
The family requests memorials be given in Rogers name to the military service related charity of the donor’s choice.
