Wilma M. Bailey

Wilma M. Bailey, age 99, of Reedsburg, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center.  She was born on February 26, 1923, in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Frank D. and Laura M. (Pearson) Selden.  Wilma was united in marriage to Russell Good and later Walter Bailey, both preceded her in death.  Wilma was an active member of the Ironton United Methodist Church for many years. She loved cooking and baking and was an avid walker.  She went for daily walks well into her 98th year.  Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She cherished the time she spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Beverly, Marilyn Dieter and Audrey Backeburg; son, Rodney; grandsons, Chad and Jim; brother, Merwin “Pete” (Monnie) Selden; sisters, Pearl (Lyle) Frank and Edna (Lloyd) Karstetter.

Wilma is survived by her children, Barbara (Marvin) Bennett of Necedah, Bill (Marsha) Good of Ironton, Rhonda (Jeff) Smith of Hillpoint; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren; special friend, Margaret; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Wilma M. Bailey will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Farber Funeral Home, Reedsburg, with Chaplain Daniel Farber officiating.  Burial will follow in Resting Green Cemetery, Ironton.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Farber Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral Home.
